Compliance & Transparency

PRIVACY POLICY

Your Data, Our Responsibility. Last Updated 2026.

01. GDPR & Data Protection

AXE Machinery acts as the data controller for site interactions that result from direct contact, quotations, and contractual processing. We process the minimum personal data necessary to respond to inquiries and fulfill orders.

We comply with the GDPR (EU 2016/679)and applicable Serbian data-protection law. Data is processed only for legitimate purposes such as sales, service, warranty support, and legal obligations.

Data recipients and transfers:

  • Internal staff and authorized service partners (on a need-to-know basis)
  • Arjes GmbH when required for warranty and technical support
  • Authorities when legally compelled

Retention:

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose collected.

Advanced Analytics & Google Signals

We may enable Google Signals to support cross-device measurement. This allows aggregated, de-identified cross-device reports when you have given consent for analytics cookies.

Hashed Data Transmission: Where personal identifiers (for example, email addresses) are forwarded for measurement purposes, they are cryptographically hashed before leaving our servers. Hashing ensures that raw identifiers are not transmitted to third parties and reduces re-identification risk.

First-Party Proxy Layer: To improve data privacy and to avoid loading third-party scripts directly in user browsers, analytics collection is routed through our first-party proxy endpoints. This proxy performs minimal enrichment (consent mapping, IP forwarding when permitted, and hashed identifier handling) and forwards events to analytics endpoints under our control. The proxy reduces exposure to third-party script vulnerabilities and provides a stronger privacy boundary for our customers.

For more details on what data is forwarded and how you can opt-out, see the Cookies & Tracking section and our cookie controls on the site.

02. Hosting & Infrastructure (Vercel)

This website is powered by Next.js and hosted on Vercel's secure cloud infrastructure. Vercel automatically collects technical data in server log files for security and performance monitoring:

  • IP Address — Your internet connection identifier
  • Browser Type & Version — Agent information
  • Operating System — Device and OS details
  • Referrer URL — Source of your visit
  • Timestamp — Date and time of access

This data is collected for technical security purposes only and is not linked to individual identities. It helps us detect threats and ensure site stability.

03. Cookies & Tracking

We follow a strict minimalism principleregarding cookies. We use only technically necessary cookies for session integrity, basic preferences, and security.

  • Session management and security
  • Preference storage (language, display options)
  • Protection against CSRF attacks

Third-party tracking and analytics:

We may use Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) for site measurement and performance monitoring. These tools remain inactive until explicit consent and will only be activated after you grant permission via our cookie controls. When consent is not granted, no analytics cookies or tracking pixels are fired.

We do not perform behavioral profiling for marketing without explicit consent.

04. YouTube Integration

We embed demonstration videos using YouTube. Where possible, we use youtube-nocookie.com (Enhanced Privacy Mode). This reduces cross-site cookie setting, but YouTube may still receive technical request data when a video loads or is played.

  • Embedded players use youtube-nocookie.com where supported
  • No YouTube cookies are set before you interact with the player
  • Playing a video may result in data transfers to Google/YouTube under their privacy policy

If you wish to avoid any data transfer to YouTube, do not play embedded videos; instead use the direct YouTube link which will open in a new tab.

05. Your Legal Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access — Request copies of your personal data
  • Right to Correction — Correct inaccurate information
  • Right to Erasure — Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to Restrict Processing — Limit how we use your data
  • Right to Data Portability — Receive your data in machine-readable format
